CSC Academy Graduate Declan Pursues Animation Dreams at Griffith University

The Clontarf Foundation exists to improve the education, discipline, life skills, self-esteem, and employment prospects of young Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander men and, by doing so, equips them to participate more meaningfully in society.

Since 2000, with more than 20 years on, the Foundation has operated 148 academies in WA, NT, QLD, NSW, VIC, and SA, supports more than 11,500 participants, and employs over 560 dedicated staff members.

During 2023-2024, Clontarf’s program assisted many young men with employment opportunities. It is inspiring to see young men embracing new opportunities and contributing to their community.

Declan Miller - Alice Springs

 CSC Academy, Alice Springs (2019 – 2021)

Declan, a CSC Academy Alice Springs graduate in February 2022, is now pursuing a Bachelor of Animation at Griffith University in Brisbane, Queensland. His passion lies in creating comic books, and he is excited to explore this field further. Declan advised his peers to seek scholarship opportunities, as he himself secured three scholarships.

With this financial support, he encourages others to ensure everything is well-organized before their academic journey: “See what opportunities are out there for scholarships; I have three scholarships so you can be well supported; it’s good to have everything sorted before you leave.”
