About the Manufacturers Council
 The Chamber of Commerce Northern Territory is the peak representative body for the private sector within the Northern Territory of Australia. The Manufacturers Council of the Chamber of Commerce NT is a member-based non-government organisation representing the manufacturing sector in the Northern Territory.
The Manufacturers Council represents member’s views, concerns and opinions by identifying issues and lobbying Federal, Territory and Local Governments, ensuring business views are presented to Government Ministers and officials.
The objectives as set by the members are:

Promoting and encouraging the use of Northern Territory manufactured products optimising Northern Territory content;

Encouraging efficient production, continual improvement and growth in the Northern Territory manufacturing industry;

Acting as a strong lobby group to Government, private companies, and other industry associations; and
-
Facilitating and providing forums for information exchange.
The Manufacturers Council provide the following services for its members:

Promoting the capability of Territory business by producing the annual Services, Suppliers & Manufacturers Directory (in partnership with the Chamber of Commerce NT and NT Industry Capability Network ~ NTICN).

A monthly fact sheet entitled Manufacts, containing information and opportunities relating to projects of interest to the manufacturing sector, particularly in areas such as oil & gas, mining, rail/port, and Defence;

Organising seminars and forums on issues of importance to the manufacturing sector at discounted prices;

Advice on OH&S and quality issues necessary for business structure, growth, and tender compliance
-
Providing export advice, including assistance programs, market analysis, and business matching.
