Welcome from the CEO
First Quarter, Financial Year. That’s it, the financial year is done and for better or worse we cannot change what has happened. The challenges of the past year are certain to continue but as we rule off the page and start the process again I hope that whatever the new year should bring, may your business prosper and grow.
There is no doubt that there have been a number of significant legislative changes over the last eighteen months. These are having an impact on the ways in which we do business in Australia and those impacts are likely to continue for some time to come. As your host Chamber we work very hard to keep you informed of developments and up to date with the latest information. Be it workplace relations, occupational health and safety legislation or changes within the income tax regime, the Chamber monitors and advises all of our members, wherever you may be doing business in the Northern Territory.
As you start the new financial year, remember that the Chamber stands ready and willing to support and assist your business endeavours and we will continue to promote an economic environment for the establishment and development of trade, commerce and industry. As always, we remain “The Voice of Territory Business”.
