About Central Australia
The Central Australian Region stretches from the South Australian border to include Alice Springs, Yulara, further north up to Tennant Creek and all outlying communities. This includes a population of approximately 30,000 covering over 546,000 square kilometres of land, with over 2,000 businesses and makes up 40% of the Northern Territory.

The Central Australian region supports a growing industrial and commercial base through a well-established infrastructure. Our top industries include tourism, pastoral, horticulture, mining, construction, retail and community and government services.

The Chamber has a strong presence in the region with membership from every area of business. An active Executive Committee guides the operations of the Chamber in the region, including policy formation on local issues and matters of membership interest. The Chamber takes an active role in regional and economic development through representation on committees at local and Northern Territory government level.

The Alice Springs region holds many highly regarded networking events throughout the year with the Alice Springs Golf Day being the major event.
