About Tellus Holdings Ltd

Tellus is developing the Chandler Facility, a world-first multi-national geological repository located 120km south of Alice Springs, near the Titjikala community. The project involves an 800m-deep salt mine designed to safely isolate hazardous byproducts from mining, energy and industry—supporting Australia’s green economy transition. Assessed under both NT and Commonwealth environmental legislation, the project received final NT EPA approval via Assessment Report 83. In 2023, it gained the support of the Titjikala Native Title party and the Central Land Council. Tellus has partnered with global leader Amentum to deliver the project’s first phase following an international EOI process.
