Media Release: Chamber NT Welcomes Territory Proud as Awards’ Local Partner

CHAMBER NT BUSINESS NEWS

6 July 2026

The Northern Territory Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Chamber NT) is pleased to announce our partnership with Territory Proud, as Territory Proud has become the Awards’ Local Partner of the 2026 Northern Territory Export & Business Awards.

The 2026 Northern Territory Export & Business Awards (the 2026 Awards) are the official Northern Territory’s premier business awards program, supported by the Northern Territory Government and delivered by Chamber NT. The Awards bring together the long-standing Export Awards and the well-established Business Excellence and Outstanding Customer Service Awards, celebrating the businesses, organisations and individuals driving economic growth across the Territory.

As Local Partner, Territory Proud will play an important role in celebrating and recognising local achievement across the Territory's regions, supporting the delivery of regional awards presentations and helping showcase the outstanding contribution of Territory businesses to the economy and community.

Territory Proud General Manager Geoff Goodrich said, "Territory Proud is excited to be a Local Partner with the Export and Business Awards in 2026. We look forward to visiting the regions to be part of the Awards presentation. Working Together, Helping Territorians Achieve Their Goals."

Chamber NT CEO Glen Hingley welcomed the partnership and recognised Territory Proud's longstanding commitment to supporting local businesses and communities.

"Territory Proud has become one of the strongest advocates for buying local and supporting Territory businesses, making them an ideal partner for these awards."

"We are delighted to have Geoff and the Territory Proud team joining us as our Local Partner in 2026. Their commitment to recognising local success aligns perfectly with the purpose of these awards."

"We appreciate Territory Proud's collaboration and support in helping us celebrate business excellence across every region of the Northern Territory. Together, we will showcase the achievements of Territorians and inspire the next generation of local business success." Mr Hingley said.

The 2026 Awards celebrates the achievements and contribution of businesses, organisations, and individuals driving economic growth across a broad range of industries in the Northern Territory. The 2026 Awards provide a platform to celebrate outstanding Territory businesses, highlight business excellence, and acknowledge the people and organisations helping to grow the Northern Territory economy.

Minister for Trade, Business and Asian Relations, Hon. Robyn Cahill said “From Darwin to the Barkly, Territory businesses are backing themselves, creating jobs and driving our economy forward. The Northern Territory Export and Business Awards shine a light on the Territorians leading the way – and remind the nation the Territory is well and truly open for business.”

Upholding the integrity of the 2026 Awards Program is a distinguished judging panel comprising some of the Territory’s most experienced and respected business leaders. Through a fair, independent and comprehensive assessment process, they will evaluate entries to identify the regional and Territory finalists before selecting the overall winners.

Led by two esteemed Co-Chairs, the Judging Panel will assess the applications against selection criteria to identify the most outstanding businesses in each category, including finalists and winners.

Regional award ceremonies will be held across the Northern Territory before finalists' progress to the 2026 Northern Territory Export & Business Awards Gala Awards Ceremony in Darwin on 23 October 2026.
